Production and Machine Data Collection with FACTORY FRAMEWORK®
The “visible production” requires transparency.
The target is to enter, in real-time, all relevant production data where generated and in real-time, whether by worker, by machine/production line, by measuring and test equipment or by product carrier.
a) The “worker client” function is a tool for manual entry of production data.
The configurable application allows for an easy-to-use reporting dialogue (“Poka-Yoke”). The worker is provided, bit by bit, with all process operation-related information. The “worker client” is used via TOUCH screen, mounted as fixed or portable. In order to avoid faulty entries, all entries are checked for accuracy. All messaging sequences are configurable.

b) A flexible machine connector for automated machine data collection.
As more automated machine data collection is, as higher the data quality. This also minimizes manual messaging effort.
As the machinery evolved, we see more complex and heterogenous machine controls.
Thus, the machine connections vary from digital signals, fieldbus (Profibus), various Siemens machine controls (S5, S7, 840 D etc.), up to OPC servers. FORCAM offers the machine adapter (DCU), as a machine control connection via TCP/IP.
The machine control management is effected centrally, in order to facilitate the servicing and maintenance and system changes operated by the maintenance people.
